NatureDSP IT2400 is a software implementation of a HF modem for transmitting packet and streaming data, including speech over a HF radio channel for thousands of kilometers, using inexpensive commercial transceivers with a narrowed band. Military NATO modems (Rokwell Collins, Harris, etc.) operating according to 110A, 110B, STANAG 4539 standards require a wider bandwidth for their operation. This means, in fact, that they are not able to work through standard commercial radio stations Codan, iCom, Yaesu, Kenwood. The NatureDSP IT2400 modem supports transfer rates of 2400/1200/600 bits/sec in a reduced band of 600...2400 Hz. A specially designed signal structure allows it to be easily connected to vocoders (such as MELP) to organize digital speech transmission over the HF channel. The modem is specially designed for voice transmission - it has short interleaves and a very noise-resistant signal-code design.
Our modem has been successfully used in Russian-made speech maskers since 2007 and successfully transmits data in different countries of the world.
Features:
• Supports 2400/1200/600 bit/sec transfer rates
• Provides frame synchronization for all standard vocoders (MELP, etc.)
• Optimizes end-to-end signal delay in the channel for better speech perception
• Allows you to get soft output solutions for improved integration with vocoders.
• A large set of commands for configuring the modem (>50) and a built-in log generator. Allows you to get an estimate of the main parameters of the communication channel in real time
• Adaptive KV channel correction scheme operating in a wide range of multipath, fading and noise fluctuations
• Narrowed signal band for docking with commercial transceivers.
• Not sensitive to ALC/AGC systems in transceivers and path nonlinearity
• Built-in test signal generator and BER meter.
• Fully portable ANSI C code
• Fully compatible with the channel simulator as recommended by ITU-R.F1487.
A real-time channel simulator is available as an option for testing purposes. • Demo version is available for EVM6424 and PC
Areas of application:
• HF communication at frequencies of 3..30 MHz
• Digital communication
• Digital transmission of speech over the HF channel
• SDR
